In an appearance on Fox News, CERL Executive Board Member General Joseph Votel discusses the preliminary U.S.-Iran peace plan and gives his thoughts on some of its provisions regarding Iran’s nuclear program. General Votel is also quoted in an article discussing the use of AI in making targeting decisions in the military. He states that he is in favor of using AI in the target selection process because of the tool’s ability to process more data than humans can.

General Joseph L. Votel, U.S. Army (Ret.), is the former Commander of the U.S. Central Command. He is a Distinguished Military Fellow at the Middle East Institute and a member of the CERL Executive Board. Read his bio here.
