Former President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 counts before a Manhattan courtroom today. CERL’s Prof. Claire Finkelstein spoke with Al Jazeera ahead of the arraignment about what can be expected and how these proceedings could impact the 2024 presidential election. According to Prof. Finkelstein:
He [the Manhattan District Attorney] is most definitely at risk. New York is mobilizing its entire police force to deal with the risk of violence in this case. Donald Trump has been engaging in whipping up a frenzy around this to intimidate and to threaten Alvin Bragg.
