CERL Affiliated Faculty Kermit Roosevelt joined WHYY to discuss the question of whether the Colorado Supreme Court can remove former President Donald Trump from the ballot. According to Prof. Roosevelt, a strong argument can be made that Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment, known as the “insurrection clause,” bars Trump from running for office.
