In an article at the National Catholic Reporter discussing the possibility of the strikes against Iran by the United States and Israel on February 28 triggering a vote in Congress about the Trump administration’s war powers, CERL Advisory Council Member Mary Ellen O’Connell expressed her concerns about the decision to attack Iran without sufficient justification or legal grounding. She also speculated about the effect these strikes would have on the future of international law concerning the use of force. She is quoted in a piece in Barron’s Magazine here as well.
